Exercise and music go together nicely for all ages. On Saturday, kids can get motivated to exercise while singing along to some of their favorite songs when Lolly Hopwood and the Let's Play Today Bunch hit the stage at World Cafe Live.

The pop and children's music cover band will perform songs from their debut album Go! Go! Go! The album is written by mother and musician Lolly Hopwood and Yvonne Kusters, the founder of the Let's Play Today international children's fitness organization. The band will perform songs from the early days of Sesame Street, while paying tribute to popular contemporary kids' musical artists. Showtime is at 11:30 a.m.

'Happy Birthday, Moon'

Kids can enjoy a theater outing this weekend through Feb. 5 as Please Touch Museum's Playhouse Theater offers a new show, Happy Birthday, Moon, based on the book by Frank Asch.

The audience will learn about love and forgiveness as Bear goes out of his way to find out what the Moon wants for its birthday. The Moon and Bear share the same birthday and (spoiler alert!) are pleasantly surprised when they buy each other the same gift.

"Happy Birthday, Moon" at Please Touch Museum, Memorial Hall, Fairmount Park, 4231 Avenue of the Republic. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission: $15 age 1 and older, museum members and infants free. Information: 215-581-3181 or www.pleasetouchmuseum.org.

Seafarin' Saturdays

Young salts can learn about the maritime ropes while making them at Independence Seaport Museum's monthly family program, "Seafarin' Saturdays."

During the activities and crafts workshop from 1 to 3 p.m., kids will then get to make their own rope. The youngsters will learn how to weave the strands and make a knot strong enough for maritime purposes. Kids can also take their rope creation home with them.

Seafarin' Saturday is held the third Saturday of every month, offering families hands-on workshops with a maritime theme.
