Posted: January 23, 2012

Four people have been arrested and charged with murder in the ambush killing of a pizza delivery man.

Ron Anderson Jr., 29, was shot in the back during an attempted robbery on Jan. 3 after driving to an abandoned rowhouse in Southwest Philadelphia with an order of pizza, cheesesteaks and wings.

The bandits fled without taking any money.

Anderson, who had a young daughter and three stepchildren, died within an hour of being shot.

Today, police announced that a man and two women had been charged with murder, conspiracy and related counts in Anderson's death.

Police took Rashad Cheeseboro, 23, of Southwest Philadelphia, into custody on Jan. 7. Xylaca Devlin, 18, also of Southwest Philadelphia, was arrested Jan. 6. Keyona Jones, of Magnolia, N.J., and Michael Covington, 21, of Southwest Philadelphia were arrested Jan. 19.

Both Anderson and his wife, who lived in Chester, had worked for only a few months at the Hot Spot pizza shop - but three blocks from the site of the shooting.
