Three people, including one pedestrian, were fatally injured in the three separate overnight traffic accidents in Philadelphia area.

At 8:38 p.m. Friday, Sharon Minnick, 50, of Pottstown, was crossing Easton Road near Girard Avenue in Horsham when she was struck by a Lincoln Town Car traveling south, Horsham Township police said.

The driver of the Lincoln stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Minnick was wearing dark clothes when she was hit.

The second fatal accident occurred about 11:33 p.m. Friday in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.

Police said a 25-year-old man on a motorcycle tried to avoid a 2009 Toyota Corolla that pulled out of a Wawa lot in front of him.

The motorcycle slid, hitting the back of the car and a light pole, police said. The motorcyclist, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead a short time later.

In the third accident, a southbound 2008 Acura driven by Vernon Fegley Jr., 43, of Northampton, crossed into the northbound lane of Route 212 about 3:21 a.m. Saturday in Springfield Township, Bucks County. Fegley's car went onto the berm and hit a telephone pole, state police said. It continued on and struck two trees.

Fegley was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passengers, two women and a man, all 28, suffered extensive injuries, state police said without providing details.

State police are still investigating.
