The victim of a fatal motorcycle accident on Friday in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section was identified Sunday as Nhan Chinh Hoang, a city resident.
Hoang, 23, of the 3100 block of E Street, was riding a Suzuki north on Aramingo Avenue when he tried to avoid a 2009 Toyota Corolla that pulled out of a Wawa lot in front of him around 11:33 p.m near Cumberland Street, police said.
The motorcycle slid, hitting the back of the Corolla and a light pole. Hoang, who was thrown from the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at 11:54 p.m. at Hahnemann University Hospital, police said. The accident remains under investigation. - Darran Simon
