Tues. S.J. girls' roundup: Free throws lift Washington Twp.

In a battle between Olympic Conference girls' basketball division leaders, fifth-ranked Washington Township converted 11 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter to pull out a 59-52 victory on Tuesday at sixth-ranked Seneca.

Kelly Giedemann led all scorers with 17 points and her twin sister, Kylie Giedemann, made four three-point baskets in scoring 16 for the Minutemaids.

Taylor Watson buried three shots from beyond the arc in scoring 15 for the Golden Eagles.

In other Olympic Conference action:

Sophomore forward Desiree Furbert cashed in two free throws with 2.5 seconds remaining to allow Timber Creek to edge host Paul VI, 44-43. The Chargers received a game-high 16 points from Brittany Martin, with Furbert scoring six.

Brianna Wylie had 24 points, including seven in a game-ending 20-10 run that gave Lenape a 59-52 victory at Bishop Eustace.

Tri-County. Head coach Karen Dilmore celebrated her 200th career win at Williamstown, as freshman forward Taylor Bynoe scored 13 of her 19 in a 25-3 third-quarter blitz that helped the host Braves put away Kingsway, 65-43.

Cara McHenry scored 7 of her 11 points in a 15-8 third-quarter spree, as Gloucester Catholic went on to defeat host Glassboro, 48-33, and claim at least a share of the Diamond Division title.

Madison McClintock ruled the lowpost, putting up 19 points and 18 rebounds to power host Gloucester past Salem, 47-36.

Tori Smick tossed in 31 points to make host Woodstown a 54-42 winner over Penns Grove.

Clearview held Highland scoreless for the first 7 minutes, 30 seconds of the second half to take command en route to a 38-22 home win. Sara Kramer connected on 8 of 11 free throws in scoring 14 points for the Pioneers.

Jewel Brown his for 30 points in Clayton's 48-29 triumph at Schalick.

Burlington County. Sierra Forman and Dystinee Perkins combined for 26 points for Palmyra, which scored seven points from the foul line in overtime to edge host Riverside, 45-42. The Rams forced the game to an extra period when Yasmin Vasquez hit a running on-hander with 0.3 seconds left in regulation.

Jasmine Smith poured in 26 points as host Pemberton knocked off first-place Maple Shade, 56-42, to take over the Freedom Division lead.

Top-ranked Rancocas Valley ran away from visiting Burlington Township, 64-37, behind Lauren Moses' 20 points.

Colonial. Host Collingswood received scoring from 10 players, topped by Ellie O'Neill's 16 points, in rallying past Overbrook, 45-30.

Cape-Atlantic. Sophomore forward Shannon Metzler and junior guard Cori Weiss each set season highs with 13 points, as host St. Joseph pounded Pleasantville, 66-26.

Reilly Larkin got off to a strong start, scoring 13 of her 23 points in the first half, and Julia Duggan came through with 18 points and nine rebounds to ease host Ocean City past Mainland, 65-38.

Karli Ernst had 21 points for Our Lady of Mercy, which parlayed a fast start into a 51-44 win at Lower Cape May.

Nonleague. Senior guard Taylor Umbrell boosted her career point total to 1,002 by scoring 15 in Delran's 48-25 home win over Princeton Day.

Kelyn Sequeira's two free throws tied the game with 18 seconds left, and Tahirah Cubbage scored her only points on a game-winning basket with 4 seconds to go as host Pennsauken Tech rallied to defeat LEAP Academy, 33-31.
