Urban Outfitters Inc., on Thursday announced the return of departed veteran Tedford Marlow to become chief executive officer of Urban Outfitters Group and oversee global operations of the retailer's Urban Outfitters brand.
Prior to his retirement in 2010, Marlow had been president of the Urban Outfitters division of the Philadelphia-based corporation, whose other brands include Anthropologie, Free People, Terrain and BHLDN (pronounced beholden).
Marlow's return follows the unexpected departure in January of corporate chief executive Glen T. Senk, who became the company's first overall CEO in 2007.
