Leslie Carter's mysterious death Tuesday has kicked off a round of rumors, speculation, and wild guesses. TMZ cites Anonymous Sources, who say Carter's family thinks the 25-year-old singer, sister to Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter and singer Aaron Carter, was addicted to prescription drugs and died of an overdose.

The family has yet to comment.

In a statement Wednesday, they said that "our family is grieving right now and it's a private matter."

The Chautauqua County Coroner's Office in New York said Thursday that an autopsy was inconclusive and that toxicology tests might provide answers.

Gisele Bündchen's Super Bowl prayer

If you love Gisele Bündchen - and who isn't totally besotted with her? - get down on your knees and pray. Pray that her man, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, does well on Super Bowl Sunday.

Story continues below.

"I feel Tommy really needs our prayer, our support and love at this time," the supermodel exhorts her friends and family in a leaked e-mail published by the New York Post.

Sunday will be "a really important day in my husband's life . . . and now they [the team] need us more than ever to send them positive energy." Gisele tells the Post the e-mail was private. Well, it was . . .

Amanda Seyfried on porn, dating, Justin

Amanda Seyfried, 26, who plays Linda Lovelace in a biopic of the infamous porn star, tells Glamour mag she would never take it all off for the camera. Yet Amanda sure isn't shy about risqué roles: Look at Atom Egoyan's Chloe, in which she played a bisexual stripper.

Perhaps her most dangerous role came in last year's sci-fier In Time, as Justin Timberlake's lover. Stop those tongues wagging: Nothing happened off-screen. Amanda says she'd never date him. "Oh, I think any female that meets him at first is like, 'I want to date you.' He seems so perfect," Amanda says, "but, you know, he's really famous, which has its downsides."

I fought the law & the law won . . .

Avery Brooks, 63, who played the gentle yet authoritative Capt. Benjamin Sisko on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, was charged with DUI Sunday night in Wilton, Conn., 50 miles north of Manhattan, the Associated Press has revealed. The Princeton resident, who also is known for playing Hawk on Spenser: For Hire in the 1980s, is due in court Feb. 9.
