Philabundance, a nonprofit organization that provides emergency food and services to area residents throughout the Philadelphia region, has named Michelle Hong chair. She is an attorney and director of wealth planning at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.

New board members include: Bassam Awadalla, a consumer market executive at Bank of America; Dianne Elderkin, a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, L.L.P.; Joseph A. Tedesco, senior vice president and regional sales manager at First Niagara Bank; and D. Michael Wilson, president of FMC Corp.; and Aaron R. Krauss, a partner at Cozen O'Connor.

 

The Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia, a nonprofit organization, has named Heather Carmody and Chris Dietze to its board. Carmody is a partner at Duane Morris L.L.P. Dietze is president of Clear Sound Inc.

Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, a state-funded nonprofit agency that has invested in technology firms for more than 25 years, elected Anthony Santomero, former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, as chair and Stephen T. Zarrilli, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Safeguard Scientifics Inc., as vice chair.

Peter S. Linder, chairman of the MAG Fund, was elected treasurer and chairman of the Finance Committee; Alan J. Cohn, president of Sage Financial Group, is finance committee vice chair; and Michael J. Heller, chair of the Business Law Department at Cozen O'Connor, is corporate secretary.

Charles P. Pizzi and Matthew Rieke were elected to the board. Pizzi is chairman of the Allegheny West Foundation, the former chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and former president and CEO of Tasty Baking Co. Inc. Rieke is a founding principle of Quaker Partners and was principle at PA Early Stage, and Novitas Capital.

The Board also reappointed: Joseph Bordogna, professor of engineering at the University of Pennsylvania; Michael J. Heller, chair of the Business Law Department, Cozen O'Connor; Osagie O. Imasogie, senior managing partner at Phoenix IP Ventures; Kef Kasdin, general partner at Battelle Ventures and Innovation Valley Partners; Anil Kothari, senior vice president of ICG Commerce; Ashley A. McEvoy, worldwide president at Ethicon Inc.; RoseAnn B. Rosenthal, president and CEO of Ben Franklin; and Stephen Spinelli Jr., president of Philadelphia University.
