BRETT TRUSKIN, the Bucks County man arrested in November for allegedly running over a Kensington bicyclist while high on drugs, waived his right to a preliminary hearing yesterday.

Truskin, 22, will be arraigned Feb. 28 on charges of vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, DUI and related offenses in the Nov. 18 crash that killed Gregory Loper, 49, on Lehigh Avenue near Jasper Street.

Truskin, who was driving a 2011 Toyota RAV4, struck Loper head-on, then hit four parked cars and one car occupied by another motorist, who suffered minor injuries, authorities have said.

Story continues below.

Hours before the the fatal crash, Truskin had been arrested for another DUI crash, a three-car pileup that he caused on Interstate-95, police said, and had been released in his own recognizance.

He faces trial today in that case.

Court records show that Truskin has remained jailed on $500,000 bail since the fatal crash.
