Bill Dooley will step down as Chestnut Hill Academy's basketball coach after this season, the school said in a press release.

"We appreciate everything that Bill has done, not only for our basketball program but for the school," said Mike DelGrande, CHA athletic director. "He has been a great ambassador of the school as well as our basketball program."

Before Friday's game vs. Haverford School, Dooley had compiled an 80-43 record in five seasons with the Blue Devils.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as part of the Blue Devil basketball program over the past five years," Dooley said in the release. "I am grateful to, and proud of, the young men I have had the wonderful opportunity to coach here. They are true student-athletes."

In the 2009-10 season, Dooley guided CHA to a 21-4 overall record and, with a 10-0 mark, the Inter-Ac League title. He also won the league crown in 2007-08 (shared, with Germantown Academy).
