College Basketball: Princeton deals Harvard first Ivy loss

Ian Hummer had 20 points and Princeton beat No. 25 Harvard, 70-62, on Saturday night, handing the Crimson their first Ivy League loss of the season.

T.J. Bray added 12 points for the Tigers (13-10, 4-3), who defeated the Crimson at home for the 24th straight time. Keith Wright had 16 points and 12 rebounds for Harvard (21-3, 7-1), which had won nine straight

Michigan State 58, Ohio State 48 - Adreian Payne scored 15 points, Draymond Green added 12 and the defense-minded Spartans (20-5, 9-3 Big Ten), ranked No. 11, upset the No. 3 Buckeyes (21-4, 9-3) in Columbus, Ohio.

Penn State 67, Nebraska 51 - Tim Frazier scored 23 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as the Nittany Lions (11-15, 3-10 Big Ten) snapped a five-game losing streak by defeating the Cornhuskers (11-13, 3-10) in front of a season-high 13,103 fans in the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pa.

Syracuse 85, Connecticut 67 - Scoop Jardine (Neumann-Goretti) had a season-high 21 points and sparked the deciding rally with three-pointers on consecutive possessions in the closing minutes, and the No. 2 Orange (25-1, 12-1 Big East) beat visiting UConn (15-9, 5-7) in front of 33,430 fans, the fourth largest crowd in Carrier Dome history.

Louisville 77, West Virginia 74 - Kyle Kuric scored 17 points to lead five players in double figures for the No. 24 Cardinals (20-5, 8-4 Big East). Kevin Jones had 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Mountaineers (16-10, 6-7).

Marquette 95, Cincinnati 78 - Darius Johnson-Odom and Jae Crowder scored 23 points as the No. 18 Golden Eagles (21-5, 10-3 Big East) won at Cincinnati (17-8, 7-5).

Notre Dame 84, DePaul 76 - Jack Cooley finished with 22 points and 14 rebounds, and Jerian Grant had 22 points as the Irish (17-8, 9-3 Big East) held off the Blue Demons (11-13, 2-10) in South Bend, Ind.

Missouri 72, Baylor 57 - Phil Pressey scored 19 points to lead the fourth-ranked Tigers (23-2, 10-2 Big 12) past the No. 6 Bears (21-4, 8-4). Missouri is 14-0 at home.

North Carolina 70, Virginia 52 - Tyler Zeller had 25 points and nine rebounds to power the No. 5 Tar Heels (21-4, 8-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) in Chapel Hill, N.C. The No. 19 Cavaliers (19-5, 6-4) got 18 points from Mike Scott.

Kansas 81, Oklahoma State 66 - Thomas Robinson burnished his player of the year credentials with 24 points and 14 rebounds and Jeff Withey added 18 points and 20 rebounds as the No. 7 Jayhawks (20-5, 10-2 Big 12) crushed the Cowboys (12-13, 5-7) in Lawrence, Kan.
