February 15, 2012

A bomb scare forced the evacuation Wednesday of Pennco Tech in Blackwood, Gloucester Township police said.

A little after 2 p.m., someone called Pennco Tech and told a receptionist that there was a bomb in an office at the school, police said. After students and teachers left the building, bomb-sniffing police dogs from Camden County, Cumberland County, and Millville responded, along with the Blackwood Fire Company. No bomb was found, and the school was reopened about 4:40 p.m., police said.
