The longtime leader of a drug trafficking ring in Camden has been arrested on conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine over 17 years in the city, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman said.
Jeffrey "Jazzy" Jones, 35, of Camden, appeared Wednesday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Karen M. Williams in federal court in Camden. He was arrested Feb. 3 after recently completing a five-year sentence for conspiring to possess firearms as a felon in 2007.
The operation distributed crack cocaine between 1990 and 2007, according to documents. In a related case, Larry "Lac" Reddick, 36, pleaded guilty this month to distributing crack cocaine with Jones, Hashim "Hash" Johnson, 31, and Mack "Bear" Jones, 39, al; of Camden, officials said.
