Fri. S.J. boys' roundup: Westampton Tech thumps Bergen Tech

Sophomore Awwall Reid scored a career-high 16 points to go with 10 rebounds, four blocked shots, and two steals, and host Westampton Tech dominated from the start in burying Bergen Tech, 68-37, Friday in a New Jersey Vocational Tournament boys' basketball semifinal.

Marquel Davis and Shaun Russell had 13 points apiece, including 13 in a game-opening 18-6 run.

Cape-Atlantic. Sixth-seeded Middle Township used a balanced attack, topped by LaMarr Greer's 11 points, to upend No. 3 seed Wildwood Catholic, 44-41, in a playoff quarterfinal.

In a regular-season game, Brent Slotoroff had 13 points and six assists as fourth-ranked St. Augustine closed its home slate by vanquishing Vineland, 65-52.

Burlington County. Cornell Miller's 21 points paced four Florence scorers in double figures, as the Flashes stormed out to an early 11-point lead and cruised, 79-48, at Bordentown. Quintin Harris and Kevin Allison added 15 points each for Florence, offsetting 24 points by the Scotties' Mike Jacobs.

Olympic. Marquise McCormick scored 10 of his 14 points from the foul line in Washington Township's 40-37 victory at Lenape.

Nonleague. Jerry Crismond had 20 points, including a half-court bank shot that beat the final buzzer to give host Sterling a 64-62 upset of 10th-ranked Delsea. Cedric Elleby poured in 26 points for the Crusaders (20-4), who had won their last 11.

Chris Michael (24 points) hit a key three late in regulation, and Tyree Mann-Barnes scored 4 of his 10 points in overtime to lift Collingswood over host Camden Academy Charter, 77-74. Jeremy Dipasquale (26) and Gary Holmes (25) supplied the bulk of the Cougars' scoring.

Pennsauken Tech ran its winning streak to five, as junior guard Brandon Rembert produced 25 points, six steals and six assists in a 66-34 home rout of Buena.
