CHE Invitational to showcase Top 10

The top eight teams in The Inquirer's South Jersey boys' basketball rankings will participate in the Cherry Hill East Invitational this weekend.

The highlight of the two-day, 11-game showcase could be back-to-back battles on Saturday, as No. 1 Paul VI will meet No. 6 Paulsboro at 4 p.m. and No. 3 Bishop Eustace will face No. 5 Eastern at 5:30.

Also on Saturday, No. 2 Willingboro will play Kingsway at 1 p.m., and high-scoring Top 10 contenders Haddonfield and Cherry Hill East will square off in what should be a fast-paced game at 2:30.

In highlights of Sunday's action, No. 7 Shawnee will face Holy Spirit at 1 p.m., No. 8 Atlantic City will play Top 10 contender Rancocas Valley at 4, and No. 4 St. Augustine Prep will meet Gloucester Catholic at 5:30.

Admission is $5, and part of the proceeds will benefit the Adam Taliaferro Foundation.
