Questioning in hit-run

Police in the Accident Investigation Division say they will interview the driver in a hit-and-run accident Feb. 14 that left a 9-year-old girl hospitalized. The girl was riding her bike in Parkside about 5:30 p.m. when she was hit by a car driven by a woman and knocked to the ground, police said. The driver sped away. Police have not identified her because she has not been arrested or charged.

The girl was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and was listed in stable condition, police said. Cops said the woman and her lawyer would likely be interviewed today.

Man charged with stealing laptops

* Chestnut Street near Broad

Michael Alicea, 49, of North Philadelphia, is facing charges for allegedly stealing laptops from a charter school in Center City on April 6, police said. Alicea was recorded on a surveillance camera walking through a restricted area inside the Philadelphia Electrical and Technology Charter High School before the laptops were reported stolen.

Alicea, of Ridge Avenue near Mount Vernon Street, was arrested Jan. 26. He is charged with burglary and related offenses, police said.

Cops: Del. man beat woman

* Wilmington

Police have charged Codin McIntyre, 31, of Middletown, Del., with holding a woman captive for five hours and beating her while their 1-year-old baby was nearby.

McIntyre was arrested Sunday. Wilmington police officers were flagged down after someone heard a woman screaming for help inside a residence.

Police say they found the woman bleeding from her face.

McIntyre was charged with kidnapping, burglary, assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was being held on $61,000 bail.
