S. Jersey Boys: South Jersey boys' basketball roundup

Westampton Tech won the New Jersey Vocational Tournament boys' basketball championship for the first time on Wednesday, as Shaun Russell had 17 points to lead a balanced attack in a 73-59 victory at North 13th Street Tech.

Bazil Jackson (14 points), Marquel Davis (13) and Marcus Stewart (10) also scored in double figures for the Panthers, who seized control with a 23-12 second-quarter spree.

Nonleague. Xavier Lundy pumped in 30 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, and dished off four assists in guiding third-ranked Paulsboro to a 77-55 win at Woodrow Wilson.

Julien Davenport also turned in a solid all-around game for the Red Raiders, finishing with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocked shots. Djuan Dyson had 14 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals for the Tigers.

Junior Zach Berry connected on three shots from beyond the arc in scoring a career-high 21 points for host Palmyra, which parlayed a 21-5 start into a 61-41 triumph over LEAP Academy Charter.

Christian Mortellite capped his 26-point outburst by scoring a dozen in a 26-18 game-ending run, and host Hammonton converted 12 of 16 free throws down the stretch to finish off Seneca, 65-52. Kent Dimmig scored 16 for the Golden Eagles.

Tim Delaney battled inside for 18 points and 11 rebounds, Eric Stafford dealt seven assists, and Matt Spicer made a pair of clutch threes in the fourth quarter to seal Pitman's 46-41 home win over Gateway and Joe Palmer (15 points).
