BROWNSVILLE, PA. - A 35-year-old western Pennsylvania man has been charged in the fatal beating of a 75-year-old man allegedly stemming from a love triangle involving the younger man's 20-something girlfriend.
Jonathan Godines, of Brownsville, was originally charged with aggravated assault and lesser charges in the Nov. 15 beating of John Eicholtz. Fayette County authorities say Eicholtz, also of Brownsville, died Dec. 1. Authorities on Wednesday filed a new set of charges, including criminal homicide, based on autopsy results that linked Eicholtz's fatal brain hemorrhage to the assault.
