Marek Zidlicky and David Clarkson scored 14 seconds apart in the final two minutes of the third period to rally the New Jersey Devils past the host New York Islanders, 2-1, Saturday night.

New Jersey (39-24-5), which won two of three from the Islanders during the week, has three consecutive victories and wins in four of five. The Devils are 4-1-1 in their last six games and have allowed one goal or fewer in five straight games.

Sabres top Senators

Tyler Ennis scored in regulation and then added the winning goal in the shootout to give the Buffalo Sabres a 4-3 victory over the host Ottawa Senators. Nathan Gerbe and Marcus Foligno also scored for the Sabres (32-29-8), and Ryan Miller stopped 33 shots.

Semin keys Caps' win

Alexander Semin had a goal and set up Jay Beagle's go-ahead score, lifting the Washington Capitals to a 4-3 win over the host Boston Bruins.

Washington moved two points ahead of Winnipeg and is now in sole possession of eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Washington also trails Florida by one point in the Southeast Division.

Crosby eyes Rangers

Sidney Crosby's comeback - version 2.0 - could come on Broadway. The Pittsburgh Penguins star ruled himself out for Sunday's game against Boston but is optimistic he could play for the first time since early December when the team travels to play the Eastern Conference-leading New York Rangers on Thursday.

"Any game at this point is going to be exciting," Crosby said. "A game like that you have need to make sure that you're that much more ready."
