Perennially topless and cuddly Jersey Shore teddy bear Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has checked into rehab for substance abuse, reports TMZ. Or has he?

Sitch's P.R. rep tells Entertainment Weekly the professional partier and sometime clothing-company spokesman is just taking time to rest up.

Sitch, the rep says, "has spent the past several weeks at an undisclosed location for much-needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule." (We tend to forget that an artist of Sitch's stature needs to unwind and recharge his batteries.)

The rep confirms that Sitch will be back for Jersey Shore's highly anticipated sixth season, which will have the gang party, have sex, eat, suntan, get high to do their laundry, party, have sex, eat, suntan, get high to do their laundry, party, have sex . . . just as they did in Seasons 1 through 5!

Phylicia Rashad shoots pilot in Philly

Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show) and Steven Pasquale (Rescue Me) were in Center City Wednesday to film scenes for the pilot of a new NBC show called Do No Harm

"They filmed about five scenes in our offices," says Claire Bula of Electronic Ink, a business-system design consultancy firm located on the upper floors of One South Broad Street just south of City Hall.

Bula says "they were doing office scenes," which makes sense, given where they were. "They chose our space," she adds, "because they loved the modern, open feel of it."

Do No Harm, written by The Event's co-exec producer David Schulner, marks Rashad's anticipated return to TV.

A modern retelling of the Jekyll & Hyde story, it features NCIS' Lauren Holly, stand-up comic and actor Samm Levine, and Law & Order regular Alana De La Garza.

Hugh Hefner's son pleads guilty

Marston Hefner, 21, son of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, was arrested after a nasty fight with his gf, 2011 Playmate of the Year Claire Sinclair, and has pleaded guilty in a Pasadena, Calif., court to a lesser charge of corporal injury to a cohabitant.

Hefner, scheduled to be sentenced June 12, is expected to receive one year of domestic-violence counseling and be ordered to stay away from Sinclair for three years, says Pasadena assistant city prosecutor Chris Blankenhorn.

One Direction soars on album charts

Adele's 21 is at No. 2 with 148,000. Guns N' Roses' Greatest Hits is No. 3 with 85,000.

Last week's chart champ, Bruce Springsteen's Wrecking Ball, had a 71 percent sales drop. It's at No. 4 with 57,000 sold.

One Direction comes our direction

Johnny Depp and . . . Ashley Olsen?!

Do we believe this? Can we believe it without going mad? Do we believe Johnny Depp, 48, would trade in his paradisiacal Parisian partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis, 39, for that blond testament to American enterprise and consumerism, Ashley Olsen?

So claims glossy tabloid In Touch Weekly, citing a Witness who saw Depp sneak out of a Manhattan office building connected to Ashley's apartment building, "looking like he didn't want to be seen."

ITW says it has discovered that "Depp was secretly leaving 23-years-younger Ashley's loft after a sneak slumber party."

Maybe it was an innocent pajama party and pillow fight? The alternative is just too weird. The age difference aside, Depp 'n' Ashley is just a really odd match.

ITW's report is the latest in a slew of rumors that Depp and Paradis are kaput.

Alec Baldwin: Cruise is a good actor!

"I say without hesitation, Tom's gonna blow your mind in the movie!" So declares Alec Baldwin to Extra about his Rock of Ages costar, Tom Cruise. Tom, 49, plays aging rocker Stacee Jaxx, a role he prepared for by signing up with middle-aged rocker Jon Bon Jovi. The picture, which opens June 15, costars Julianne Hough, Bryan Cranston , and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Jennifer Lawrence: I'm a troll!

You know it and I know it: Jennifer Lawrence is fabulous. Shame she doesn't know it. The 23-year-old Kentucky native, who gave a searing performance in her breakout feature, Winter's Bone, says she can't stand watching herself on screen.

"I'm a troll. I hate myself," Jennifer tells an amused David Letterman.

Jennifer says she's especially disturbed by how awful she is in her latest picture, The Hunger Games. "The movie is great," she says, "but their biggest mistake was me!"
