Academy Park's first-year varsity program prevailed, 11-6, over visiting Del-Val Friends for its initial victory in a nonleague contest. Tanisha Joseph scored five goals and goalie Megan Barlow stopped seven shots.
In other nonleague play, Rachel Bernard tossed in four goals and Delco Christian goalie Rachel Wynne made 11 saves in a 10-5 win at Penn Wood.
Brooke Kiley's six goals and three assists helped Germantown Academy hold off a late comeback by visiting Kennett and win, 18-16.
