Penguins owner Mario Lemieux and wife Nathalie dined Saturday at the Capital Grille where the NHL legend was a gentleman and friendly to a few fans who said hello. Penguins assistant general manager Tom Fitzgerald and a front office colleague stayed out late at the bar being sports about some good-natured ribbing from Flyers fans who figured out who they were. Ryan Howard was at the Capital Grille as well with a group of family members and later he and fiancee Krystle Campbell partied at Rumor (15th & Sansom) where Sixers assistant coach Aaron McKie also hung out.
Upper Darby native “SNL” alum Cheri Oteri was a surprise guest at the Variety Club’s Red Hearts Gala Friday at Vie (600 N. Broad). Oteri did her Barbara Walters impression at the show where fellow “SNL” alum Victoria Jackson did stand-up as did Jeff Norris.Joe Piscopo emceed the benefit which raised $50,000 or the children’s charity.
Rapper Beanie Sigel, awaiting sentencing on a tax evasion conviction, stopped at Delilah’s (100 Spring Garden) Thursday night where he wasn’t exactly makin’ it rain tipping the dancers, good news for the IRS.

Congratulations to Sean Green of the 12th Street Gym who was crowned Mr. Gay Philadelphia Saturday night at Voyeur (1221 St. James). Green is donating his cash prize to the Mazzoni Center (12th & Locust) which provides HIV/AIDS testing, counseling and education. Host Brittany Lynn kept the crowd laughing all night as judges, including “ RuPaul’s Drag Race” contestant Mimi Imfurst, deliberated over the hunky contenders.
MontCo Sheriff makes the grade
Montgomery County Sheriff Eileen Behr was named the top graduating senior in La Salle’s Criminal Justice Dept. with a 3.8 GPA. Behr was a continuing education student and marched in last year’s commencement so she could walk with her daughter, Mary Marguerite, graduating as an elementary/special education major.
