Police are investigating a shooting that left two men wounded, one critically, in South Philadelphia this afternoon.
The men were shot about 1:45 p.m. on the 700 block of Juniper Street in the Hawthorne neighborhood and police found them nearby on the 1300 block of Bainbridge Street.
One man who had been shot in the back was taken to Jefferson University Hospital in critical condition, police said. The other man had been hit in the foot.
Police are sorting out the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
