Devon Still is a Cincinnati Bengal.
The Bengals drafted the Penn State defensive tackle with the 53d overall pick in the second round of the NFL Draft on Friday night.
The all-American had 55 tackles, 17 for a loss and 4 1/2 sacks as a senior and was named the Big Ten defensive player of the year. Born in Camden and a cousin of former Camden High and NFL star Art Still, Still was raised in Wilmington, Del.
He missed his first two college seasons with a torn anterior cruciate ligament followed by a broken fibula. But he emerged last season as one of the best tackles in the country.
Last month at Penn State's Pro Day, Still improved on his NFL combine 40-yard dash time of 5.08 seconds with a 4.95.
At 6-foot-5, 303 pounds, Still is smaller than the other top tackles in the draft, but speed is one of his best weapons.
"I'm able to go into every game and have an impact whether I was making tackles or not," Still said last month. "I was always in the backfield, so that's something that I tried to get across" to scouts.
