Three Nittany Lions were taken in the draft, led by defensive end Devon Still, chosen by the Cincinnati Bengals with the 53rd overall pick.
On Saturday, guard Johnnie Troutman was selected in the fifth round (149 overall) by San Diego. Nine picks later, Oakland chose Jack Crawford and the Raiders then added linebacker Nate Stupar in the seventh round (230 overall). Stupar is the seventh Linebacker U product drafted since 2007.
After the draft, nine PSU players caught on with NFL teams: Safety Nick Sukay with Buffalo; wide receiver Derek Moye with Miami; cornerback D'Anton Lynn and running back Stephfon Green with the Jets; tight end Andrew Sczcerba with Dallas; offensive lineman Quinn Barham with Detroit; defensive end Eric Lattimore with Minnesota; offensive lineman Deon'tae Pannell with New Orleans; and cornerback Chaz Powell with the Raiders.
