City Councilman Bill Greenlee is making yet another attempt at requiring that the city’s bike lanes be approved by Council.
The brakes were pumped last year when bike advocates showed-up in force against the bill. But Greenlee renewed the effort Thursday.
Of his proposal, co-sponsored by Councilman Mark Squilla and Council President Darrell Clarke, Greenlee said: “Most bike lanes would go right through without a problem. One may come up every now and then that might be an issue, but that’s what we’re here for, to hear both sides of the issue.”
