Angelina Jolie may not be this year’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman, but she has been named an honorary citizen of Sarajevo.
The city held a ceremony to bestow the honor upon her yesterday. In an audio message played during the event, she said she was “proud to now be a part of such an extraordinary part of the world and fellow citizen to the people I deeply love and admire.”
The city decided to honor Angelina for her role in preserving the “truth about the war” in Bosnia through her directorial debut “In the Land of Blood and Honey.”
Jolie said in her message she will be able to come visit in July.

Supermodel Linda Evangelista and ex-boyfriend Francois-Henri Pinault squared off Thursday in Manhattan Family Court. She’s demanding that he pay child support for their 5-year-old son.
Evangelista has said she has gone through $46,000 a month on such expenses as armed bodyguards and a round-the-clock nanny for the boy, Augustin. Her lawyer says Pinault paid nothing until she went to court last year.
Evangelista and Pinault were a couple just long enough in 2005 and 2006. He’s now married to actress Salma Hayek — so he clearly doesn’t have a “type.” They have a 4-year-old daughter.
Pinault is the CEO of a company that owns Gucci, Balenciaga and other luxury brands.
