Tri-County. Lindsey Gaines doubled in Emily Pettie in the second inning, and Shayla Loud made the lead stand, striking out seven and scattering five hits and two walks in Cumberland's 1-0 win at Williamstown.
Coaches for Cancer Tournament. At Triton, Jean Romer made her varsity debut by going 3 for 4 with one run and one stolen base, and Brandi Chester laced a two-run single in the top of the seventh to allow GCIT to edge Paul VI, 5-4.
Burlington County Tournament. Eighth-seeded Rancocas Valley scratched out two runs in the sixth inning and one in the seventh to rally past No. 9 seed Bordentown, 6-5, in an opening-round game at RV.

Lenape, ranked fourth in South Jersey by The Inquirer, turned up its attack after intermission to pull away from No. 10 Seneca, 12-6, in an Olympic Conference interdivision match.
Rena Carabases, Emily Duffey, and Olivia Streinlein each had a hat trick, and Carly Walters contributed three assists for the visiting Indians, who used a 6-1, second-half surge to improve to 9-1 overall.
