It was going to play the Tower, but insatiable demand bumped it up to the Susquehanna Bank Center on May 28. And now the band is offering tickets to a June 25, 2013 (save the date!) ‘Avengers’ does good
The Avengers, too, is hot. Disney figures for the midnight Thursday debut of the super-superhero(ine) flick say it grossed $18.7 million nationwide, the best such debut for a superhero flick ever!A record we didn’t know of. It is also the eighth-best midnight Thursday flick debut ever, behind the last three Twilights, the last three Harry Potters, and Hunger Games.
Ted blows gasket
He gives great copy, that Ted Nugent. Done freaking out the Secret Service with intemperate sayings about President Obama, he freaks out CBS. He went all bow-and-arrow-hunter on poor Jeff Glor of the CBS Morning Show. Glor suggested Ted might not be a moderate (like calling a tornado “inconvenient”). Ted freaked, offering intimate favors to Glor, then offering full service to show producer Molly Kordares. He was not sincere in these offers, just flying off the rifle stock. Wife Shemane made him apologize. Diverting.
Quaids quit divorcing
Dennis Quaid and Kimberly Buddington-Quaid have asked a judge to dismiss their divorce filing. The Quaids have been married eight years and have twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, both 4.
