"The team is really disappointed" in the outcome, Soul coach Doug Plank said after the loss in front of 8,674 fans at the Wells Fargo Center. "I know we can bounce back. It starts with the coaching staff and our coaches have been in similar situations before. There's no question in my mind that this time will be able to get back on track."
Philadelphia's Dan Raudabaugh finished 26-for-45 passing for 366 yards, seven touchdowns and no interceptions. Tiger Jones had 12 receptions for 183 yards and four touchdowns, and Jeff Hughley had seven receptions for 121 yards and three touchdowns. Hughley also had seven kick returns for 131 yards. Derrick Ross added 11 rushes for 51 yards and two touchdowns.
Milwaukee QB Gino Guidulgi connected 13-of-21 passes for 246 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions. Paul had six receptions for 141 yards and four touchdowns while Andrae Thurman had four receptions for 86 yards and three touchdowns.
The Soul returns to action against the Jacksonville Sharks at 7:05 p.m. Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center.
