HEY MITT, you might as well concede the presidential election now — Charles Barkley says you don’t have a chance.

Barkley, a former Sixer turned NBA analyst and SportsWeek columnist, is already calling November’s election in favor of President Obama.

Barkley was part of TNT’s broadcast team for Sunday’s Celtics-Hawks game when the camera showed Romney, the Republican nominee, in the Boston Garden crowd.

“Mitt Romney. Listen main man, we’re going to beat you like a drum in November,” Barkley said over-the-air. “Don’t take it personally. You seem like a nice guy. But you’re going down, bro.”

Hallowed ground

Anyone can own an old baseball card or game-worn uniform. But the ultimate in baseball memorabilia is up for sale: The suburban Boston house that Babe Ruth lived in after being traded to the Yankees.

Yankee Stadium may have been the House that Ruth Built, but this is the House that Ruth Owned.

The asking price for the two acre property, located in Sudbury, Mass., is $1.65 million, which is more than the Babe made in his entire lifetime.

“In the front room of the house, you can still see the burn marks from where Babe Ruth used to flick his ashes,” said listing broker Scott Adamson, of Coldwell Banker.

According to baseball-reference.com, Ruth made $910,696 over a 22-year career with the Red Sox (1914-19), Yankees (1920-34) and Boston Braves (1935).
