Sixers-Celtics Season Results

The 76ers were 2-1 against Boston during the regular season, including a 32-point home victory March 7. Here is a look at those games:

76ers 103, Celtics 71

March 7 at the Wells Fargo Center

This game was all Sixers. Evan Turner made big news by scoring a career-high 26 points and pulling down nine rebounds as six Sixers scored in double figures. The victory ended a two-game losing streak and put the Sixers two games ahead of the Celtics for first place in the Atlantic Division. Elton Brand had 18 points and nine rebounds, and Nic Vucevic scored 14 points. Andre Iguodala and Jrue Holiday each added 10 points, and Iguodala had eight assists. Paul Pierce had 16 points as Boston ended a five-game winning streak and made a season-low 35 percent of its shots.

March 23 at the Wells Fargo Center

Once again the Sixers had six players score in double digits as they overcame a slow start and snapped Boston's two-game win streak. An energized Brand scored 20 points to lead the Sixers. Lou Williams scored 19 points, Holiday 15, and Iguodala 14. Spencer Hawes and Thad Young both had 12 points, and the Sixers outrebounded the Celtics, 46-13, 14-3 on the offensive side. Pierce and Kevin Garnett scored 20 points each for the Celtics, and Brandon Bass had 18 points.

April 8 at TD Garden, Boston

Boston avoided being swept in the series by shooting a season-high 58.8 percent from the field. Garnett, the leader with 20 points, was one of four Celtics with at least 17 points. The Sixers, foreshadowing their performance for most of the playoff series against the Bulls, struggled on offense, giving up 11 turnovers in the first half and shooting just 38.2 percent. Vucevic led the Sixers with 14 points and 13 rebounds. The loss was the fourth straight for the Sixers and gave the first-place Celtics a three-game lead in the division.
