A small bus transporting a dozen mentally-challenged students was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer on I-95 this afternoon, sending two aides and the bus driver to the hospital with minor injuries.
None of the students was injured, said a state police spokesman.
The crash, at about 2:40 p.m. near Penns Landing, caused northbound traffic to become backed up as rescue crews picked up the students to be evaluated. The bus, which had come to a halt in the middle lane, was moved to the interstate’s shoulder.
