About the Soul: They have won two in a row after a mini midseason slump. . . . They lead the American Conference by 21/2 games with six games remaining. . . . Defensive lineman Justin Warren is dealing with family issues and will miss his second consecutive game. T.J. Langley will start again. . . . Fullback Derrick Ross was named the MVP of the week after setting a franchise record with 84 rushing yards last week. . . . Soul defensive lineman Bryan Robinson is second in the league with eight sacks and needs just two more to break the team record of 91/2 set by Gabe Nyenhuis in 2008.

About the Mustangs: They ended a three-game losing streak with a nice win over National Conference power San Jose. Quarterback Gino Guidugli had nine touchdown passes. . . . They beat the Soul in Week 9, 64-63, when Kelvin Rodgers tackled Emery Sammons inside the 1-yard line as time ran out.

Poll position: The Soul are ranked third in the weekly coaches' poll behind Arizona and San Antonio, respectively.

Up next: The Soul play at Jacksonville at 7 p.m. June 16. The Sharks are on top of the crowded South Division, in which four teams are within a game of first place.
