The skinny: To stay fresh during Major League Soccer's respite for FIFA World Cup qualifying, the Union travels to its minor- league affiliate for an annual showdown. Last year, the Union tied Reading, 1-1, as a goal in stoppage time from Reading nixed the go-ahead tally from Union midfielder Michael Farfan on a muggy night at Don Thomas Stadium in Exeter. . . . The Union are 3-0 in non-MLS matches this season, with wins over Schalke 04 in an international friendly and the Rochester Rhinos and D.C. United in the U.S. Open Cup. . . . Jorge Perlaza, whom the Union picked up in a trade with Portland for forward Danny Mwanga, is likely to debut for his new team in this match. . . . Sheanon Williams, Ray Gaddis, Gabriel Farfan, Krystian Witkowski, and newcomer Michael Lahoud will be at the Union Juniors Passback Day at YSC Sports in Wayne from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
