Council Rock South is one win away from giving coach Greg Young a memorable going-away gift. The Golden Hawks blanked Altoona, 4-0, on Monday in the semifinals of the PIAA State Class AAAA baseball tournament at Hershey, and earned a berth in Friday's state championship game at Penn State University against La Salle.
Young, who recently announced his intention of stepping down as coach at the end of the season to spend more time with his family, needs one win to make his squad the first team from Council Rock to win a state baseball title.
