They saw a nearly flawless performance.
Luck connected on his first 12 throws in the morning team drill and only one of 16 passes hit the ground - a ball that hit rookie tight end Dwayne Allen in the chest and was dropped.
Coach Chuck Pagano noted that Luck didn't make a single mental mistake.
"The guy's off the charts for football IQ," Pagano said. "He came in over the weekend and we had a little session Monday with the rookies, which league rules allow, and he hasn't missed a beat."
Young sues
Former Eagles QB Vince Young accused his former agent and ex-financial adviser of cheating him out of at least $5.5 million the former first-round draft pick was supposed to have earned in his rookie contract and through endorsement deals.
In a lawsuit filed by the Buffalo Bills' new quarterback in Houston on Monday, Young alleges that Major Adams II and Ronnie T. Peoples breached their contracts by conspiring to commit fraud and misappropriate the player's funds.
Adams is a Houston attorney who served as Young's first agent in negotiating the five-year, $54 million contract for the third pick in the 2006 draft.
Peoples was Young's financial adviser.
The two are also alleged to have forged Young's signature, falsified documents, and impersonated Young to secure loans in part to help pay off Adams' personal debts.
Adams denied any wrong-doing.
"I have never had access to Vince Young's financial money, any money he has," Adams said Tuesday. "I've never had any access to his financial accounts. I've never been authorized on any accounts to write checks or anything like that. All I did for Vince Young was negotiate his contracts."
Missing in action
Defensive end Chris Clemons was not at Seattle's mandatory minicamp and he's not expected any time this week.
Clemons is entering the final year of a contract that will pay him $4 million.
Pro Bowl running back Matt Forte was missing as the Chicago Bears opened minicamp, and his franchise-player tender remained unsigned.
Pro Bowl free safety Ed Reed skipped the Baltimore Ravens' mandatory minicamp and coach John Harbaugh said "I'm not sure what the situation is."
