Wilfredo Diaz, 28, of Camden, was shot to death about 7 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of South Sixth and Line streets in Camden, officials said.
Responding officers found Diaz in a blue Toyota Avalon not far from the scene of the shooting, near South Seventh and Washington streets. "It appears the injured Diaz got into his vehicle after being shot and attempted to flee from the scene but crashed," a news release said.
Diaz was taken to Cooper Hospital for treatment and died there about 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
