Glassboro running back Corey Clement, who set the South Jersey single-season record for rushing yards as a junior, plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh on a football scholarship.

"It just felt like it was the right place for me," said Clement, who made the commitment Saturday while attending a camp at Pitt.

Clement has offers from more than 20 college programs, including Notre Dame, Penn State, Florida State, and Iowa. He said he wanted to make a decision before his senior season.

"It was wearing on me a little bit," Clement said. "I thought I would jump the gun and make this decision, and it feels like I made the right one."

Clement is regarded as a four-star recruit by Scout.com and ESPN. He set the South Jersey rushing record last season with 2,510 yards, and also scored 36 touchdowns.

Clement's commitment won't be binding until he signs a letter of intent on Feb. 6, 2013.
