Man critically wounded in N. Phila. shooting

An unidentified man was in extremely critical condition Thursday night after being shot several times during a possible attempted robbery in North Philadelphia, police said.

The shooting occurred about 9:20 p.m. at 11th and Venango Streets, police said. The victim, described as being in his late 20s or early 30s, was shot repeatedly in his upper body. Police rushed him to Temple University Hospital.
