Eastbound motorists along Route 422 near Valley Forge National Historic are feeling the heat — and so is the road.
The extreme heat cause the highway to heave and buckle near Paulings Road about 2:35 p.m., and that has reduced traffic to one lane.
A Pennsylvania Department of Transportation crews was attempting to patch the stretch of ripped up road to make it usable for the afternoon peak commute, said Peter Scerati Jr., a Montgomery County maintenance manager.
