Camden man charged in slaying linked to bike gang

A Camden man is among four alleged members of a Philadelphia-based outlaw biker gang charged with robbery, kidnapping, and murder in an indictment announced Friday, the U.S. Attorney's Office in St. Louis said.

Curtis "Tomahawk" Cole, 33, of Camden, an alleged member of the Wheels of Soul motorcycle gang, is charged in a January 2011 robbery and killing in Chicago, prosecutors said.

The U.S. Attorney's Office announced a superseding grand jury indictment naming the four men. Eighteen others were accused in the original June 2011 indictment. Authorities say all are involved with Wheels of Soul, headquartered in Philadelphia and with branches throughout the country.

Prosecutors described the gang as well-organized and extremely violent. Authorities say the gang distributed crack cocaine and heroin and committed robberies to raise money. They also blame the gang in at least three murder cases. - AP
