Posted: June 27, 2012

All grounds tickets for the 2013 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore are sold out, the USGA announced Wednesday.

The tournament is scheduled for June 13 to 16 as it returns to Merion for the first time in 32 years.

A limited number of premium Trophy Club and 1895 Club tickets remain. Both clubs will be located at Haverford College, about 400 yards from the 18th hole, and include substantial amenities. Grounds tickets are available for the practice-round days (June 10-12).

Prices of available tickets range from $50 for daily practice-round tickets to $385 for 1895 Club tickets on Sunday.

Each buyer is permitted to purchase up to four tickets for each day. Tickets include free parking and shuttle transportation to and from the course.

Only 25,000 spectator tickets per day are being sold for the 2013 U.S. Open, approximately 8,000 fewer than for this year's event at the Olympic Club in San Francisco.

Also, junior tickets will be available on-site during the tournament. Juniors age 12 and younger will be admitted free of charge any day, when accompanied by an adult ticketholder. Tickets for juniors age 13 to 17 are $15 for practice rounds and $35 for championship rounds. There is a maximum of two junior tickets per one adult ticket holder.

Active military personnel can receive free grounds tickets at will call during the tournament. Retired military personnel can purchase grounds tickets for practice rounds for $25.
