“Sometimes you think you know it all. You've got a lot of learning to do, a lot of life to live, people you're going to come in contact with. You've got to make a decision: Should I trust this person or that person? It's going to be difficult. You've got to lean on certain people. Find that one person. One or two people who can steer you in that right direction."
Going to the Doggs
The UCLA football team, which has already received a commitment from cornerback Justin Combs (son of P. Diddy), has reportedly offered a scholarship to wide receiver Cordell Broadus (son of Snoop Dogg, whose given name is Calvin Broadus).
Several media outlets, including ESPNLA.com and USA Today reported that Ryan Maine, Broadus' coach at Diamond Bar (Calif.) High, broke the news on his Twitter account.
The high school's footbal Facebook page posted the following message on its wall: "RECRUITING NEWS: WR Cordell Broadus received his first scholarship offer from UCLA … Way to go Cordell and the Broadus family!"
We hope Broadus, who is only a sophomore, decides to become a Bruin because we'd love to hear the pep band playing "Drop It Like It's Hot" at halftime.
But who's on first?
The PA announcer in Atlanta won't have a tough time remembering the starting pitchers' names in Tuesday's nights' Diamondbacks-Braves game.
There's Hudson and there's Hudson. Daniel goes for Arizona, while Tim takes the mound for Atlanta.
And no, they're not related. n
