N.J. woman stabbed after fight at Wawa

A Sicklerville woman stabbed another woman during a fight over a man earlier today that started inside a Cinnaminson Wawa and turned violent in the parking lot, township police said.

Kartelina Holt, 32, was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and other weapons offenses. Holt and Ashley Anderson, 25, of Pennsauken, first fought in the store on the 2100 block of Church Road shortly before 7:30 a.m.

"The fight was actually broken up. Everyone walked out on their own," Detective Sgt. William Covert said.

But within moments, the brawl continued, Covert said.

"They crossed the parking lot and it escalated," he said.

Holt "attacked" Anderson outside the store, stabbing and slicing her in back of the head, mouth, upper arm and neck, Covert said.

Anderson, who was found bleeding from head wounds, was being treated at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

Police found Holt near the Wawa and arrested her. A municipal court judge set her bail at $100,000. She is expected to be taken to the Burlington County Jail.
