LOS ANGELES - Federal prosecutors have entered a plea agreement with former Phillies and New York Mets outfielder Lenny Dykstra in a case in which he is accused of bankruptcy fraud and embezzlement.
Court records show the plea agreement was filed under seal Tuesday. Phone messages left for Dykstra's deputy federal public defender and the U.S. Attorney's Office were not immediately returned.
Prosecutors said that after filing for bankruptcy, Dykstra hid, sold, or destroyed more than $400,000 worth of items without permission of a bankruptcy trustee.
