About the Soul: The team has won five in a row with a defense (yes, they play defense in the AFL) that is playing as well as it has all season … It beat Tampa, 83-48, at the Wells Fargo Center on April 20 … The Soul are 7-0 against the Southern Division … Defensive back Kent Richardson suffered a lacerated finger last week, but will play.

About the Storm: Tampa Bay has dropped three in a row and five of six to put itself on the postseason bubble … Quarterback Nick Hill spent the spring in the Packers organization, before being released on May 23. This will be his third start for Tampa Bay … The Storm acquired defensive back Martel Moody (Villanova) on June 13. He is expected to play for the first time this season.

Poll position: The Soul remains ranked second behind Arizona in the weekly coaches' poll. It is the only team in the American Conference to crack the top seven.

Up next: The Soul hosts Spokane (8-6) on Sunday, July 8. The Soul's last loss was to the Shock on May 18.
