A rowhouse fire that broke out shortly after 5 a.m. this morning killed two people, left one woman injured, and partially burned two adjoining homes.

The fire on the 1000 block of Thurman Street ran through both the first and second floors of the unit, and firefighters had to rescue several residents, with one person reportedly jumping from the second floor. The sex and identities of the victims were not immediately available.

Camden Fire Chief Michael Harper confirmed two were killed, and that the woman who jumped from a window to escape the furnace was taken to Cooper University Hospital.

The fire was under control by 6 a.m. The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
