Jonathon VanDam won the Green Bay Challenge on Sunday to become the youngest Bassmaster Elite Series winner at 23 years, 10 months. The kid from Kalamazoo, Mich., finished with a 4-day catch of smallmouth bass of 79 pounds, 2 ounces. He earned $103,000. Wow, 103 grand for catching fish. That's over $1,300 a pound. If my brother-in-law has been telling me the truth over the years about his fishing exploits, and was paid $1,300 a pound for his catches, then my sister should be living in a really big house right now.
