Danielle Scott-Arruda was included on the 12-player roster for the U.S. women's volleyball team that will play in London. The 39-year-old Scott-Arruda is the first U.S. volleyball player, male or female, to make five Olympic teams.

Tarmoh makes team
Jeneba Tarmoh made the U.S. track and field team for the London Olympics, joining Allyson Felix, Tyson Gay, and Justin Gatlin on the 127-athlete roster. Tarmoh was selected as a member of the relay pool after withdrawing from a runoff Monday for the final Olympic spot in the 100 meters.
Spain's team
European Championship winners Juan Mata, Jordi Alba, and Javi Martinez were included on Spain's Olympic soccer team. Coach Luis Milla selected 22 players but will trim the roster to 18 for the London Games.

No bid
The U.S. Olympic Committee will not bid for the 2022 Winter Games, but will instead explore hosting either the 2024 Summer or 2026 Winter Olympics.
